Image and Content Rights Policy
Mountanity strictly respects photographer copyrights, intellectual property laws, and moral attribution rights.
1. Contributor Photography Ownership
Mountanity does not claim ownership of photography submitted by climbers, photographers, or contributors. Contributors retain their underlying copyright at all times and grant Mountanity a non-exclusive editorial license to display, archive, and attribute the work in connection with the story.
2. Attribution Standards
Every photograph displayed across Mountanity must include visible photographer credits, archival collection attributions, or open-license notices. We do not hotlink unlicensed third-party imagery or strip EXIF metadata that identifies original creators.
3. Takedown and Rights Notices
If you are the copyright holder of an image or written excerpt published on Mountanity and believe it has been attributed inaccurately or without appropriate permission, please notify our rights desk immediately at [email protected]. We will review and rectify or remove the material within 48 hours.
